Treasure Island

We set sail for Treasure Island and returned to the Admiral Heyho Inn victorious. We wonder if Long John and his brother Short Joe are still where we left them, marooned on the Island with only that huge parrot for company! More »

Our 10th Scottish Evening!

Bishops Cleeve Players are proud to celebrate their

10th Scottish Evening

After some discussion and a look back through our posts we realise this is the 10th year of this popular event.  Last year saw a new set of members joining us to demonstrate the dances and join in with the fun – and yes they are our younger members with so much energy it makes the rest of us feel tired just watching them.  There will be the usual combination of music from the Ghillies, dancing for all, jokes told by Brian with his own brand of ‘Scottish’ humour along with piping in and addressing the haggis. All of this served up with delicious homemade cakes and sandwiches and choice of tea, coffee or drinks from the bar. Tickets can now be purchased on line – just go to the home page and click on Book Tickets’ or you can still buy them in the usual way from locations detailed on the poster.
