The Variety Show

A commemorative charity show in support of the Royal British Legion

Friday 28th September at 7:30pm (Doors open 7:00pm)

Tithe Barn Bishops Cleeve

Licensed Bar and refreshments available

As well as Bishops Cleeve Players presenting some drama for this event we are lucky to have Cleeve Harmony ladies chorus, Rhythm Strings swing and jazz band and some members of The Glos Strings Uke group supporting us.  The evening’s programme will be varied, including singing (for the audience too), music of the war periods from our bands, as well as humour and thought provoking drama based on war time experience. In the show, which is dedicated to the many men, women and children who tragically lost their lives in the Great War and WW2, we hope to create an atmosphere of thoughtful reflection.

We are grateful to the Woodmancote & District branch of The Royal British Legion for supporting us in this venture and their input has been invaluable.  Thanks also to Bishops Cleeve Parish Council who are also supporting us.

The idea for this show was first suggested in 2017 by John King who sadly passed away in February 2018 and we have continued and developed the idea in his memory.  We hope he would have liked what we have planned – particularly the end of the show which was his vision entirely.

Tickets will be available soon from George Lewis Footwear in Bishops Cleeve or telephone 01242 673729 for ticket reservation.  Tickets can also be purchased on line from this website – please see the Home Page for more details.
