The Bishops Cleeve Players have performed in a variety of venues: The Tithe Barn Bishops Cleeve, Cleeve School, The Playhouse Theatre Cheltenham, King’s Theatre Gloucester and a variety of smaller venues such as village halls within our local community.

We have always set a high standard in our productions, and this has been reflected in the Awards collected over the years; awards for Best Play, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Producer, Best Set Design and Best Technical Production.   Similar Awards have been accumulated in One Act Play Festivals such as Best Play for “Two Gentlemen of Soho” by AP Herbert in June 2005, Best Play runner up for “Last Tango in Little Grimley” by David Tristram in June 2008 and Best Supporting Actress in “Brenton Vs Brenton” in July 2009.

Recent productions have included sketches and musical entertainment at “The Players Café Bar”, Christmas Productions such as “What the Dickens” and a family pantomime “If the Slipper Fits”, “The Mystery of Marsham Grange” a murder mystery play as well as our very popular Scottish Evening, now in its sixth year.

No company can rest on its laurels and the Players continue to develop quality entertainment.  We are fortunate to have a core of seasoned members and a formula which enables and encourages new participants which are so important in keeping our shows fresh, innovative and above all, fun.

We hope you enjoy the photos of some of our previous productions.
